Wat Yansangwararam, usually just called Wat Yan, is located on a 600,000 square metre area amidst tropical gardens and a small lake. This Buddhist temple is a royal Wat whose patron is King Bhumibol. Incorporated into these large temple grounds is the Chinese temple Viharnra Sein, which is also dedicated to the King. Next to a school and a hospital there is also an animal shelter for the breeding and nurturing of endangered species.
Khao Chee Chan
In 1996, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of King Bhumibol's accession to the throne, the world's largest Buddha-image was created here. This monument, which was sculptured with lasers into an artificially flattened rock face and then gilded over several months, is in close proximity to Silver-Hill.
